No Kid Hungry Maryland Hosts Night in Annapolis

Team Maryland Hosts No Kid Hungry Night in Annapolis
The No Kid Hungry Maryland Team hosted their first No Kid Hungry Night in Annapolis Event on March 8.  The reception which was held at Annapolis’ lustrous Red Red Wine Bar, brought together State Legislators, partners and stakeholders for a night of food, fun and bringing awareness to the issue of childhood hunger in Maryland.  Maryland Appropriations Committee Chair, Delegate Maggie McIntosh captivated guests with her remarks regarding legislation that will impact the children of  Maryland and compelled guests to be the change they would like to see to end childhood hunger in the state. Principal Karen Soneira of Germantown Elementary School and Principal Sean McElhaney of Annapolis Middle School both shared with attendees how having an alternative breakfast model such as Grab and Go at their schools has enriched their students’ lives both nutritionally and educationally.
